Mixer Truck Driver (Longview and Texarkana) :

A person with this job must be able to safely operate the truck and its auxiliary equipment such as levers, chutes and mixing drums. When the driver picks up the materials to be loaded into the mixer, the driver must be able to manipulate the drum under the hoppers that dispense the cement, gravel, sand, and water into it. The driver must understand the mixing procedure and adjust the speeds on the mixer accordingly. The driver must know what materials should be in the blend and check the work order to ensure she/he is picking up the appropriate mixture.

Must have:

• Class B CDL minimum

• Valid medical card

• At least one-year Mixer truck experience

• A clean driving record

o Ability to abide by precise instructions.

o Ability to abide by strict but necessary safety rules and policies

o Must be a reliable and trustworthy individual that will be a team player.

o Must maintain a good attendance and safety record.

o Ability to pass a drug test

o Knowledge of ELD Systems and accurate use of logs

o Understanding of tools, equipment, and safe practices

o Able to lift at least 60 lbs or more

o Able to work long hours in all types of weather and conditions

o Capable of working with a crew and able to maintain good work ethics and communication
